Johnny Appleseed Day!!

What a fun day in Kindergarten!  We celebrated Johnny Appleseed's birthday with a special visit from Johnny himself!  We also made applesauce, made a puppet, tasted different apple foods, wrote a silly seed story and painted apples with our fingers!  Thank you to all the parents who made this day a huge success!!

Goodbye Summer!

Since we only have 3 days of summer left, we did a tree observation of a Bradford Pear tree near our flag pole. We observed and drew the tree as it looks in the summer. We will keep an eye on any changes in our tree and observe some more in the Fall, Winter and Spring.

Apple Investigations

For the past two days, we have been investigating the outside and inside of apples.  We used magnifying glasses to closely observe interesting things about the apples. We looked at the flesh, found seeds and even ate the apples to find the core!
